I haven't seen this one. I do have a reprint of an eighteenth-century cookbook which has some similar recipes. I keep meaning to try some of the cakes.

Young ladies should be taught that usefulness is happiness, and that all other things are but incidental. With regard to matrimonial speculations, they should be taught nothing!
