stuck

Seattle is snowy. Portland is worse. My dad called Sunday morning to tell me not to bother getting on the train, since he couldn't dig the car out to fetch me; Amtrak subsequently cancelled the train. The trains might start running again tomorrow, and I could walk a couple of miles (downhill, in the snow) to catch a bus to the station, but I have no way to get from the Portland station to my parents' house.

Right now I have two train tickets booked for Christmas Day. I hope those work.

Call me if you need to get there. Ive been running everywhere with 4x4 and chains and havnt had any issues.
Its an Option if you end up needing it.

I found a second ticket for tomorrow, so right now it looks like we are both arriving at Union Station on 24 Dec. at 5:50 (assuming the trains run, and run on time).

Yeah, I have a train ticket for the morning of the 24th to try to get up to Bellingham.... I really, really, really, hope the train is running by then.

you could always come to our house. we won't be there probably... but it's at least an easy bus ride (and trimet is still running on our streets at least).

Good luck, dear! It is certainly gross here. My car is buried in 2 foot snow drifts! But the buses are still running, so at least you could get in to West Linn somewhere...I think... I hope!

We got stuck in NYC and are now doing Christmas in Philly and flying to CA for New Year's. Fucking weather.
