I have received a Mysterious Missive reminding me that since Japan is 17 hours ahead of Pacific time, franzeska's birthday will begin 17 hours before mine. I would like to remind my loyal readers that since I was born before dawn on the East Coast, I am still several hours older and wiser.

Nevertheless, much celebration is appropriate.
