And I am really pleased with how this story came together. I think I started thinking about it around the time the adventure takes place, but I needed more distance to see what the shape of the story needed to be.

I think the utterly mundane "I want to be a mechanical engineer because I'm curious about airflow" is actually a very good application thesis, but I feel like most teenagers aren't well placed to understand why it's good!
