glasseye and I went to the Detroit Institute of Arts today. Some photos are here.

• A page from a Qur'an. The photo doesn't do this justice; it's Chinese paper, dyed purple with gold flecks, which was sent to the sultan Timur (also known as Tamerlane) as a diplomatic gift.

Next time you want to hit up DIA on a weekend let me know and my aunt will probably let you in without paying! Unless you already have a way to do that. XD
