ursula: Gules, a bear passant sable (bear)
[personal profile] ursula

[my name is] Ursula
[height] five three
[in the morning I am] . . . coffee . . .
[all i need is] how about that prestigious fellowship, huh?
[love is] look, if I wanted to write greeting-card poetry, I'd make money off the stuff
[if i could see one person right now] can I get a raincheck on that? just now I'd rather read some mind-rotting literature.
[i'm afraid of] large oil paintings of brontosauruses
[i dream about] this question will be answered below in astonishing detail
-H A V E . Y O U . E V E R-
[pictured your crush naked] er, what crush?
[actually seen your crush naked] well, I have a boyfriend and all, but I think we've kind of moved beyond the crush stage
[been in love] yeah. and it was damn hard on my self-image, let me tell you.
[cried when someone died] yeah. a lot. but I think it was displacement, really. that was the only thing I was allowed to admit I was upset about.
[lied] yeah. and God do I hate doing it.
-W H I C H . I S . B E T T E R-
[coke or pepsi] Coke. childhood nostalgia. though I think the childhood memories are omitting some rum.
[flowers or candy] it depends. bringing flowers to my family's house is like bringing coals to Newcastle, only more picturesque.
[tall or short] if they're too tall you get these weird neck cramps the next day . . .
-W I T H . T H E . O P P O S I T E . S E X- gosh, this survey is straighter than I am
[what do you notice first] hair. oh, and did I mention hair?
[last person you slow danced with] slow dancing means high school . . . and people whose names are better left to disappear into the mists of time . . .
[worst question to ask] wait, who's asking this question, anyway?
-W H O-
[makes you laugh the most] in the last day or so? Frederick Marryat. pity he's been dead for a hundred years.
[makes you smile] anything and everything. unfortunately this has no real reference to my actual emotions.
[gives you a funny feeling when you see them] people I'm trying to ignore into nonexistence.
[who do you have a crush on] didn't we already have this question?
[has a crush on you] well, last summer I was in a program with 17 guys and three girls, so just out of fairness some of them must have ended up with crushes on me, but I hope for their mental healths they're all over it by now
[easiest to talk to] the real problem is that I have nothing to say right now. unless you want to hear about bad fantasy novels. think there are about 7 left in my stack.
-D O . Y O U . E V E R-
[Stay on aim, waiting for someone special to IM] AIM is a thing of evil! evil and doom!
[save AOL/aim (Messenger) conversations] no. though I think they might get archived somewhere without me doing anything about it.
[wish you were a member of the opposite sex] believe me, I would be such an arrogant bastard if I were. the world is better off without the experiment. I do occasionally consider which of my friends I would've dated, though.
[cry because of someone saying something to you] . . . not really.
-H A V E . Y O U . E V E R-
[fallen for your best friend] no. I'm damn good friends with my exes, though.
[been rejected] yeah. but the more likely scenario is that someone demonstrates a lack of interest, and I back off.
[rejected someone] yup. some men are just kinda dense.
[used someone] ooh, definitional debate.
[been cheated on by someone] no.
[cheated on someone] I had this dream the other night that I was dating somebody who was variously identified as my friend Kate and Hillary Clinton, and I had cheated on her-- or maybe Bill Clinton had-- and she was furious and wanted me to cut all my hair boy-short in penance, which might've been OK 'cause I might've been male at that point, only I really didn't want to cut my hair and I wasn't sure if I could trust anyone to trim it, and then I started making out with someone in a hotel room . . . does that count?
[done something you regret] I refuse to regret character-forming experiences. going to deal with who I am, thank you.
-W H O . W A S . T H E . L A S T . P E R S O N-
[you talked to on the phone] maybe my uncle Toby? anyway just answering the phone for someone else.
[hugged] Kate.
