I usually look at a recipe and then change half the ingredients and some of the process. This used to drive [personal profile] glasseye up the wall, though he's gotten a bit more trusting over time.

A lot of medieval food tastes a bit like Moroccan food, so if you like the latter, you will probably enjoy the former, too!
