Second person! At first I thought, oh no, this is going to be one of those, "I can do different POV's too!" experiments until I started reading and by the end stopped realizing it was even written in the second person. Quite a feat.
And one of the oddest pairings to grace the fandom. You *must* put it up on FA when you're finished with it. There's some mild squick factor, having mostly to do with tentacles. The squid has a pretty name, though. I love the descriptions of the squid beneath the water and then coming up and the bit of foreshadowing about the shoulder.
