Your cat is more computer proficient than I'd hoped, but less adept at facilitating inadvertent science demonstrations. If you have an old CRT monitor, try turning it 180 degrees upside down sometime while the display is on. You'll see the colors go all wonky! Your monitor, either by factory calibration or your own knob-twiddling, is adjusted to compensate for the planet's magnetic field. Turned over, the electrons are pushed toward the wrong phosphors, hence the chromatic distortion.
