Some News and a Request

My father was laid off yesterday, again. As he observed, this makes me the only person in my household to be gainfully employed, if one doesn't count the fact that my mother is two-thirds of the way through a novel. And I haven't even started work yet.

Following in the family footsteps, then . . . Is there someone who would be willing to do a comprehensive edit on the descent-into-Hell story I've been posting at intervals? I want writerly comments, not spelling comments, and I am willing to accept a high degree of criticism.
