As a kid (and young/college-age adult) I always wanted to get into the SCA, but never had the transport or money for it. Now fear I just don't have the money or the time, but it's still a "someday" kind of dream, so this was interesting to read and think about! No idea what my persona would be, really, but the line about giving up on uniting a bunch of disparate interests struck a chord with me. :D I've always been That Person with half a hundred hobbies, the jack of all trades who consequently is master of none.
Getting back into fencing would be so great, though! I hate that there's nowhere near me to do it that's affordable and not a huge drive.
