I went to a Dragon's Pen meeting tonight, and mysteriously failed once again to meet rivendellrose. Possibly we actually are the same person and therefore cannot exist in the same place simultaneously.

You were a cool spot of calm on the tumultuous summer grass. Your hair like glass, soft against your head, your hands somehow unmoving as stockings grew from needles in your fingertips.

A tendril would move now and again, but that was the nature of the scene, we floated like submerged beings in that sea of wind. We were motion, grit, clatter- but you were calm, a well. Tea. When our energies were used up, our faces sunburnt and dripping with sweat, we fell into piles of metal around you and drank in the beauty of a perfect calm, for whom no time had seemingly passed.

I want to come back, but knowing my schedule that's not happening till, like, next year.
