Was playing presidential debate drinking game. With dogfish head 120 minute IPA. Not a good idea, considering 20% ABV. Spat beer everywhere during that comment. Would post more but must find coffee or cold water or something.
60 minute and 90 minute are both quite good. I have a slight preference for the 60, although the 90 is supposed to be "better".
You should try the 120 minute sometime if only for the sake of trying one of the 10 most alcoholic beers known to humanity; that said, it's a bit too much of everything (flavor, as well).
Anyway, they're all reasonably cheap on this side, so if you come visit me sometime I'd be glad to share.
As either I or someone I was watching with (I don't remember who said it) commented: "It's nice to know Bush gets his information about the war from the same place we do."
Yeah, and he kept insisting that he had the same intelligence before the war as Kerry, which makes one wonder what good it is being the Commander in Chief . . .
I don't buy that he's smart for a minute. That bastard just has a couple fairly good lines, and he spews them off whenever he thinks he's in trouble, the slimy little daddy's boy.
And "we have 90% of the casualties," which as far as I'm concerned fails utterly as a sound bite, since I keep wondering what happened to the Iraqi casualties.
george bush has a hard time with televised debates (though apparently he does great in informal small-town talks.)
but he's got a good strategy for dealing with his weakness as a debater -- he goes in with one or two lines that he wants to repeat, and he keeps on repeating them -- often ignoring the rest of the debate in order to do it.
this stops him from making a complete fool of himself, and sometimes it even makes him look strong and decisive.
i think kerry made a much better impression though -- i kept on thinking: wouldn't it be nice if the country were lead by an experienced international statesman, instead of the stubborn fool we've got now?

bush did seem to be better with his facts than kerry was though, which impressed me.
