My math column Elliptic curves come to date night is now live (and not a joke, except inasmuch as game theory example decisions are always counterintuitive!)
This column was NOT about cryptography! xD Congratulations on the column, I don't understand nearly enough of the math to comment, but it was fun to read anyway.
I was shocked that I couldn't find a Feature Column on elliptic curve cryptography when I went looking for something to link to! This might mean I need to write one (or find a suitable guest columnist--maybe landofnowhere has suggestions).
Not off the top of my head, but I'll think about it!
...I was actually coming here to say something not related to the math, which is that I played Wingspan for the first time this weekend :-D (I'm a long time Carcassone player -- the McSweeney's article "What Your Favorite Game Night Game Says About You" got me correct in that I like saying "meeples".)
I have actually only played Wingspan once! But Portakal says that Wingspan
is the only correct choice, so I am confident that I have hit on a deep
truth about mathematical culture :)
