The Light of Saint Bunstable scroll is finished, save for the name of the recipient and the signatures of the Baron and Baroness. It's based on an image from a medieval bestiary. [livejournal.com profile] rivendellrose drew the rabbits, and I did the painting and calligraphy.

We'll award the Light of Saint Bunstable at the college's mini-event on campus Sunday.

Beautiful! Wow your calligraphy's gotten good! And add it to the SCA-Illumination group on Flickr if you haven't already ;)

Beautiful!

I just took a calligraphy class last weekend and now that I know how hard it is, your writing is terribly impressive.

You did beautifully with it! All I did was eyeball the original and copy.

I'm going to try. Every time I promise I'm making it to a Bunstable event something seems to go wrong, so this time I'm shooting for cautious optimism and hoping to break my pattern. ;)

While at the officer's meeting this week we were discussing (in passing fancy actually) awards, and I came up with the "Cleft Lip" I've been laughing my butt off about it ever since. I doubt their soon to be excellencies intend on using that idea, but what do you think about if it would even pass.

Shiny! The bunnies look much happier than in the source image. And as already noted, the calligraphy is exquisite.

Ursula, that is stunningly gorgeous! I feel like I've gone on an Art Excursion, all without leaving my computer!
