i'm glad ursula linked to your post. my best friend liz is a PhD student in the English dept. at Case and as I recall the English building is near that area. luckily i got a hold of liz and she's safe.

Yeah, it's right across the street... There was shooting outside the building, but apparently not towards that area. The CNN story has been updated significantly, see the link on my journal.
